Feijoo hará test masivos a los jóvenes gallegos y obligará a usar mascarilla en el cole desde los seis años de edad

El presidente de la Xunta en funciones, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, ha puesto sobre la mesa este miércoles que el uso de la mascarilla en las aulas sea obligatorio no solo para los profesores, como ya se contemplaba, sino también "en todo momento" dentro del recinto educativo para los alumnos a partir de los seis años.

Feijóo ha abordado esta cuestión con el comité clínico, que plantea que no solo los profesores, sino también "todos los alumnos de más de seis años", deben llevar la mascarilla dentro de los centros educativos "tanto en las aulas como fuera". "Lo plantearemos en la Conferencia de Presidentes", ha avanzado.

Feijóo ha insistido en que los datos avalan que sería positivo aplicar esta medida para todo el Estado, por lo que considera que esta es una decisión que se debe tomar "entre todos" y analizarse en el marco común de la Conferencia de Presidentes. "Será una nueva barrera", ha argumentado.

Preguntado acerca de qué hará Galicia si no hay un consenso en el ámbito estatal, el presidente gallego ha dado a entender que, salvo que se le aporte "algún documento o estudio de investigación que acredite lo contrario", la mascarilla para profesores y alumnos será obligatoria.

Además del regreso a las aulas, el comité clínico ha analizado la tendencia de los contagios por covid-19 en el área de A Coruña, la más afectada y que todavía tiene una "mala situación", y ha anunciado otro cribado en esta zona para 60.000 personas de entre 18 y 40 años, a una media de "mil diarios", ya que tres de cada cuatro nuevos positivos están comprendidos en estas edades.

Núñez Feijóo ha explicado que la situación general en Galicia es "mejor" que en el conjunto de España, con una incidencia acumulada en los últimos catorce días por cien mil habitantes en torno "a la mitad" de la media del país. Además, ha recordado que en Galicia sigue vigente desde el pasado 13 de marzo la declaración de emergencia sanitaria, si bien fue modificada parcialmente en mayo por una de las prórrogas del estado de alarma para poder celebrar las elecciones del pasado mes de julio.
