Nippon Steel abandona el consejo de administración de Acerinox, aunque mantiene su participación accionarial

Nippon Steel ha retirado su participación en el consejo de administración en Acerinox, con la renuncia de sus dos consejeros dominicales, sin que ello suponga cambios en su participación en el capital, según ha informado el fabricante de acero inoxidable a la Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV). La renuncia de los consejeros dominicales Ryo Hattori y Mitsuo Ikeda, en representación de Nippon Steel, «obedece al deseo de configurar la participación en Acerinox como una participación financiera sin participar en la gestión de la empresa», ha detallado el accionista nipón, que ostenta el 15,81% del capital social de Acerinox. Dichos consejeros han remitido sus renuncias en sendas cartas dirigidas al presidente del consejo de administración de Acerinox, Rafael Miranda Robredo. En ella, han manifestado que esta acción «no supone que a día de hoy Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corporation haya adoptado ninguna decisión adicional sobre su participación en el capital de Acerinox».Ryo Hattori formaba parte del consejo de Acerinox desde el 28 de mayo de 2009 y Mitsuo Ikeda llevaba más de un año en el cargo, al que accedió el 11 de abril de 2019, según el registro de la CNMV. Nippon Steel es el segundo mayor accionista de la cotizada española, solo por detrás de Corporación Financiera Alba, que ostenta el 18,958% de los títulos de Acerinox.
