Actor blows top over director’s indecisiveness

Some filmmakers are fussy, while others are eccentric. Seasoned Actor (SA) however feels those types are a lot better than an indecisive one. While SA is known for his chill and laid-back demeanor, his patience was recently tested by Quirky Director's (QD) inability to articulate her ideas for a scene in a high-profile project. QD would often give instructions that are as vague as the movies in her filmography. But SA lost his cool when QD would instruct one thing and expect another. Confused? Well, so are her actors. Let's hope QD eventually gets her act together ... before she alienates many more actors! TOP OF THE TABLOIDS This week's top show biz news from the tabloids (and why ...

US condemns deadly Houthi attack on Abu Dhabi; UAE reserves right to respond
DUBAI --- Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi group attacked the United Arab Emirates in what it said was an operation using missiles and drones, setting off explosions in fuel trucks that killed three people and causing a fire near the airport of Abu Dhabi, capital of the region's commercial and tourism hub. The strike on a leading Gulf Arab ally of the United States takes the war between the Houthi group and a Saudi-led coalition to a new level, and may hinder efforts to contain regional tensions as Washington and Tehran work to rescue a nuclear deal. "The UAE condemns this terrorist attack by the Houthi militia on areas and civilian facilities on Emirati soil...(It) will not go unpu...Keep on reading: US condemns deadly Houthi attack on Abu Dhabi; UAE reserves right to respond

Markki and Mads: How Cignal Play’s fabulous ‘Gurls’ deliver the goods in quirky LGBT series
Despite his leading man-worthy good looks and triple-threat skills as a performer, Markki Stroem would be the first one to eloquently articulate to anybody who asks why he isn't afraid of getting typecast in LGBTQIA+ roles. For most actors, public "perception" is a big deal because they---or their handlers---treat their masculinity as casting currency, and any role that requires them to break out of the heterosexual mold is seen as something that could potentially derail their lucrative careers. Not Markki, who simply doesn't give a hoot.
