Court rejects Pichay’s bid to overturn graft conviction over chess tournament funding
MANILA, Philippines --- The Sandiganbayan has denied a bid by Surigao del Sur 1st District Rep. Prospero Pichay Jr. to reverse the guilty verdict handed over to him in his graft case. The anti-graft court found "no compelling reason" to grant Pichay's motion for reconsideration and another motion for leave to admit supplemental documents to his previous motion because these were filed over one month after the case was promulgated. The court's Fifth Division issued this decision in a resolution dated Feb. 23. Pichay was convicted of graft on Oct. 23, 2020, for approving a P1.5 million budget for a chess competition at the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) in 2010 wh...Keep on reading: Court rejects Pichay’s bid to overturn graft conviction over chess tournament funding

It will be seen on the track for the first time in pre-season testing in Bahrain on March 12. Bahra...Keep on reading: Wolff says Mercedes still fired up for success

Hamilton makes diversity a priority as Mercedes shows off his new car
LONDON - Lewis Hamilton made delivering on diversity a priority, and was guarded about his future beyond 2021, as Mercedes showed off the car that could power him to a record eighth Formula One title this season. The 36-year-old Briton has a contract only to the end of 2021, raising speculation about what happens after that. "I'm kind of in the fortunate position where I've achieved most of the stuff that I have wanted to achieve up until this point," he said at the factory launch with Finnish teammate Valtteri Bottas. "So there's no real need necessarily to plan too far ahead. "I think we're living in quite an unusual period of time and life and I just wanted one year.
