Philippines central bank chief: Likely 25 or 50 bps rate hike in Dec -Bloomberg TV
MANILA - The Philippine central bank will hike interest rates this month, though the Monetary Board is likely to be split over whether to raise the policy rate by 25 or 50 basis points, its governor said on Friday in an interview with Bloomberg TV. Felipe Medalla expressed relief that the U.S. Federal Reserve was likely to scale back its interest rate hikes. On Tuesday, he said the BSP could pause policy tightening by the first quarter next year barring "no major shocks". "Certainly we will not do zero and I cannot speak for the rest of the board. But I think the board members will probably be split between whether doing 25 or 50," he said. Marvels heroes and Batman
I still remember as a teenager when, by chance, I purchased "Ruins," which became one of the most legendary issues from Marvel Comics in the 90s. It wasn't your typical pencil and ink artwork. Still, it was full of paintings by Alex Ross. A name that would be important decades later, especially now that many of the comic books from the 1960s to the 1990s are being turned into hardcover compilations, or what is now known as an "omnibus." "Ruins" would be the second issue of four issues that was an experimental storyline dubbed as "Marvels" by Marvel Comics because, first, the stories that would happen here are in a post-apocalyptic world where virtually all the Marvel superheroes a...Keep on reading: Marvels heroes and Batman

TOKYO- International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva flagged rising inflationary pressures and China's economic slowdown as risks to Asia's economic outlook, calling on policymakers to rebuild their buffers against future shocks. Asian Development Bank President Masatsugu Asakawa also urged Asia's policymakers to be vigilant to signs of any abrupt capital outflows driven by steady U.S. interest rate hikes. "We are already seeing the risk of aggressive tightening of U.S. monetary policy to fight inflation, which may trigger abrupt reversals of capital flows or sharp currency depreciation," Asakawa said in a video message broadcast at an ASEAN+3 forum held in...Keep on reading: IMF’s Georgieva flags inflation, China slowdown as risks to Asia
