Ukrainian Drones Drop Water Bottles To Civilians Stranded In The Floods
The destruction of a critical dam in Ukraine has caused flooding across the Kherson region.Ukraine just got more inventive with its humanitarian efforts, and dropped water bottles to the civilians stranded in flooded areas via drones. It follows a crisis set off by the destruction of a dam – which was also a hydroelectric power plant – in the Dnipro river, based in the Russian-occupied city of Nova Kakhovka on Tuesday morning.Russian troops control the plant and the southern bank of the river, while Ukraine still controls the northern bank. Both sides have been affected by the flooding of the reservoir which was so large, the locals call it the Kakhovka Sea.Thousands of people have since been evacuated and the UN has warned that there will be grave consequences as a result of the attack, although the full scale of the event is yet to be revealed.UK foreign secretary James Cleverly has also said the destruction of the dam was akin to a war crime, because it was an assault on civilian infrastructure.Tens of thousands of people have been left without drinking water, food or shelter. So, when Ukraine’s ministry of defence showed how they were trying to get aid to those most affected via drones, the clip soon went viral. In less than 24 hours, it had accumulated more than 1.5 million views. You can watch the clip, as posted on Twitter, below:The Ukrainian military will never leave civilians behind.#Kakhovka#Kherson#Oleshky

Dave Grohl Fuels Foo Fighters Glastonbury Speculation With Cryptic Note
Dave GrohlIf you’ve been inspecting this year’s Glastonbury line-up with a fine-tooth comb you will probably have spotted that a mysterious new band – The ChurnUps – are scheduled to play the Pyramid Stage on the first night of the festival. The set times for this year’s event were released earlier this month, with the unknown group set to warm up the main stage for Royal Blood and the Arctic Monkeys on 23 June. While fans were initially convinced that either Pulp or Foo Fighters were behind the secret set, Dave Grohl has dropped a major hint that it could actually be the latter who’ll be taking to the stage. In a handwritten note posted on social media, Dave wrote about how he was looking forward to “churning up emotions” on stage, immediately leading readers to speculate that he and his bandmates could soon be playing at Worthy Farm.Thank You. pic.twitter.com/ZjhC9wls0r— Foo Fighters (@foofighters) June 6, 2023Addressing fans, Dave wrote: “Hey, it’s been a while. Now that we’ve returned from our first run of shows, I felt compelled to reach out and thank you all for being there for us.“Every night, when I see you singing, it makes me sing harder. When I see you screaming, it makes me scream louder. When I see your tears, it brings me to tears. And when I see your joy, it brings me joy.“But, I see you... and it feels good to see you, churning up these emotions together. Because we’ve always done this together. Time and time again. See you soon.”It didn’t take long before fans started to read between the lines of Dave’s post…That "churning up" line surely confirms they're The Churnups for Glastonbury. What a great line up this year, sad to have not gotten tickets for this one ? https://t.co/qGXSqPovtk— Debajyoti Choudhury (@TDC1991) June 7, 2023Now I’m 100% convinced they’re the Churnups @ glasto https://t.co/VQjzBh8Wlp— Olivia (@oliviawarbey) June 6, 2023Churning up those rumours ??? @foofighters@TheChurnups@glastonbury#daretodream#bestyearyethttps://t.co/7vNXrOoGo6— GlastoEddtheDuck (@DuckEddthe) June 6, 2023So @glastonbury it is then?! @TheChurnupspic.twitter.com/A7xx1NPkPE— Tabatha Bennett (@mrstabsbennett) June 6, 2023Music fans have also pointed out that Foo Fighters have a noticeable Glastonbury-sized hole in their current touring schedule.Foo Fighters dropped their latest album, But Here We Are last Friday, and recently introduced their new drummer, Josh Freese, who has replaced the late, great Taylor Hawkins, following his death in March 2022.The band are no strangers to Glastonbury, having headlined the festival in 2017 alongside Radiohead and Ed Sheeran.MORE GLASTONBURY:Here Are All The Set Times You Need To Know For This Year's Glastonbury FestivalLewis Capaldi Cancels All Commitments Until Glastonbury To 'Rest And Recover'Elton John Teases What To Expect From Headline Glastonbury Set, And It Sounds Unmissable
