Trump made an unscheduled trip to a hospital for what the White House says was part of his annual physical
Associated Press/Evan Vucci President Donald Trump made an unexpected visit to a Washington, DC, hospital on Saturday. The White House said the visit was for medical tests as part of his annual physical. It was unclear which tests Trump had received or why the visit had not been disclosed in advance. The press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, tried to tamp down rumors by appearing on Fox News later that evening, telling Jeanine Pirro that it was a "very routine visit" and that Trump was "doing just fine." Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories. President Donald Trump spent more than two hours at Walter Reed National Medical Center on Saturday for what the White House said were medical tests as part of his annual physical. The appointment wasn't on Trump's weekend public schedule, and his last physical was in February. Press secretary Stephanie Grisham said the 73-year-old president was "anticipating a very busy 2020" and wanted to take advantage of "a free weekend" in Washington to begin portions of his routine checkup.See the rest of the story at Business InsiderNOW WATCH: Extremists turned a frog meme into a hate symbol, but Hong Kong protesters revived it as an emblem of hopeSee Also:Top Republicans claim impeachment hearings were 'boring' and Trump was 'too busy' to watch, despite him tweeting about it 60 times during the dayHere's everyone who's running for president in 2020, and who has quit the raceA law professor weighs in on how Trump could beat impeachment
