Helsingin käräjäoikeus aloittaa jutun käsittelyn ensi viikon maanantaina. Oikeudenkäynti jatkuu ainakin maaliskuuhun saakka. Syyttäjä vaatii Pöngälle pitkää, useiden vuosien mittaista ehdotonta vankeusrangaistusta törkeästä petoksesta, kahdesta törkeästä veropetoksesta ja viidestätoista rekisterimerkintärikoksesta. Epäillyt rikokset ovat tapahtuneet loppuvuoden 2016 ja kesän 2017 välisenä aikana.
