Partner Halsema officieel verdacht van verboden wapenbezit

Robert Oey, de partner van de Amsterdamse burgemeester Femke Halsema, wordt officieel verdacht van verboden wapenbezit. Het Openbaar Ministerie bevestigt het bericht hierover in De Telegraaf.

Oey is inmiddels door het OM verhoord. Dit verhoor heeft eerder plaatsgevonden dan gepland, omdat de partner van de burgemeester dit weekend uitgebreid zijn verhaal heeft gedaan in NRC.

Onklaar gemaakte revolver

Oey zei in het interview dat het wapen waarmee zijn 15-jarige zoon in juli werd opgepakt bij een inbraak op een woonboot van hem was. Het zou gaan om een onklaar gemaakte revolver uit Duitsland. Hij zou die in huis hebben gehad omdat hij het wilde gebruiken bij filmopnamen (Oey is documentairemaker).

De revolver wordt nu door experts van de politie onderzocht. Er wordt dan onder meer gekeken of er met het wapen is geschoten. Ook wordt uitgezocht of het wapen in films is gebruikt.

Een deel van de Amsterdamse gemeenteraad wil dat burgemeester Halsema tekst en uitleg komt geven over het wapen in haar ambtswoning. Halsema heeft laten weten dat ze de vragen zal beantwoorden, maar dat ze terughoudend zal zijn, omdat het om een privékwestie gaat.

Onder de pet

Halsema kwam onder vuur te liggen vanwege de kwestie. Ze zou de arrestatie van haar zoon 'onder de pet' hebben willen houden. Ook schreef ze in een open brief aan de Amsterdamse bevolking in augustus dat haar zoon een nepwapen bij zich had. Dat blijkt dus een echt wapen te zijn geweest.

De Telegraaf meldt vandaag verder dat het arrondissementsparket in Haarlem het strafdossier over de zoon van Halsema en Oey pas heeft gekregen op de dag van publicatie door de krant. Woordvoerders zeiden eerder dat het dossier toen al in handen was het parket om belangenverstrengeling te voorkomen.
