The 11 biggest snubs of the 2020 Grammy nominations
Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images The 2020 Grammy Awards nominations were announced Wednesday morning. Taylor Swift, Maren Morris, Tyler, The Creator, Rosalía, and The 1975 were all snubbed in major categories. Beloved artists like Halsey, BTS, and Solange were completely ignored. Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. Nominations for the 2020 Grammy Awards were announced Wednesday morning. A lot of new talent was recognized as Lizzo, Billie Eilish, and Lil Nas X led the pack for the 62nd annual ceremony, which will air live from Los Angeles' Staples Center on January 26, 2020 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Veteran pop stars Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey finally received recognition in major categories for the first time in their careers. But while there's plenty to celebrate about this year's crop of nominees, there are also ways in which it feels woefully inadequate. There were beloved albums, hit songs, and renowned artists that were left out entirely. Keep reading to see Insider's picks for the 11 biggest snubs, in no particular order.Of the three major categories, Taylor Swift was only nominated for song of the year. Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic While Swift's song "Lover" certainly deserves its nod for song of the year — especially considering she's the lone songwriter credited on the track, and this award recognizes excellence in lyricism — her album "Lover" should have received wider recognition. It was thankfully nominated for best pop vocal album, but inexplicably shut out of album of the year, despite its near-universal critical acclaim (Rolling Stone called it a "career-capping masterpiece") and Swift's status as a Grammys darling. Maren Morris was widely considered a lock for album of the year, but she didn't even get a nomination for best country album. Terry Wyatt/Getty Image Back in October, Billboard reported that "five albums seem like locks" for album of the year at the 2020 Grammys, including "Girl" by Maren Morris. But not only was Morris' excellent album ignored in the major categories, she was barely even recognized in the country-specific categories, securing a lone nomination for best country duo/group performance. Considering that "Girl" literally just won album of the year at the CMA Awards, this seems like an obvious oversight. Rosalía's "El Mal Querer" should have been nominated for album of the year. Erika Goldring/FilmMagic Rosalía's sublime sophomore LP was nominated for best Latin rock, urban or alternative album, but extending that honor to the Grammys' most prestigious category would have been a more inspired choice. No artist has ever introduced traditional flamenco stylings so successfully to such a massive audience — let alone combine that sound with reggaetón, trap, and celestial vocals to create a "relentlessly gorgeous" concept album that's based on a 13th-century novel. Put simply, Rosalía is one of a kind, and her most recent album isn't just pushing boundaries, expectations of Latin music, and imagined lines between genres. It's demolishing them. 10 of the most overrated travel destinations of the year, so far
Melia Robinson/Business Insider Some popular travel destinations and tourist attractions don't quite live up to their hype. The stairs from "The Joker" are in a residential New York City area, not on a movie set. The Mona Lisa at Paris' Louvre Museum is as popular as ever, but many argue that it's not worth waiting in line for. New York City's first-ever outlet mall opened this year, but it's still a "ghost town" filled with empty storefronts. Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. Although many iconic destinations have earned their reputation, it's no secret that some of the most-hyped places don't live up to their bucket-list status.  Such was the case with many long-beloved and highly anticipated attractions of 2019, which disappointed visitors due to big crowds, long lines, high prices, or other factors.  Here are 10 of the most overrated destinations of the year, so far.You might want to postpone your trip to Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge until 2020. Getty California's Disneyland opened Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge back in June and it the attraction came with plenty of exciting stores, restaurants, and designs. But the park only has one ride so far — the "Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run," where guests pilot their own ships. Visitors might want to postpone their visit to January 17, 2020, when the epic new "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance" ride opens. New York City's first-ever outlet mall is more of ghost town than anything else. Empire Outlets After years of delays and construction, New York City finally got its first outlet mall in Staten Island in May. But even months after the grand opening, many of its stores are still closed. Business Insider's retail reporter Bethany Biron visited the place in September and said even though it's beautiful, it's an "eerie ghost town" with a lot of empty storefronts.  Reviewers on Yelp weren't too impressed either, with many writing that the place has potential but still seems empty and unfinished. "Game of Thrones" filmed scenes in Ireland's Magheramorne Quarry, but the place isn't tourist-friendly in real life. HBO, Charles McQuillan/Getty Many of the locations used to film HBO's "Game of Thrones" have become tourist attractions, and the Magheramorne Quarry in Northern Ireland is no exception. Magheramorne Quarry posed as major spots on the show like Castle Black and it's also where many "GOT" sets were built. But in real life, it's an old stone quarry in a small village. Recently, reviewers on TripAdvisor shared that this quarry is private property and is currently off-limits to the public.   That said, Irish Central reported that there are plans to turn the area into an actual tourist-friendly attraction in the near future. Opinion: On South Korea, Trump has seriously miscalculated
According to a congressional aide and an administration official, the Trump administration has requested an approximate 400% increase in the amount South Korea contributes to the maintenance of United States forces in Korea -- the "Special Measures Agreement," CNN reported on Thursday. (Secretary of Defense Mark Esper has refused to confirm this figure, simply saying, "we have asked for a significant increase in the cost-sharing for our deployed troops.") After last year's talks ended with a one-year agreement, rather than the longer agreements successfully negotiated nine times starting in 1991, it was expected that the talks would be difficult -- but this increase is not the start of a serious negotiation. - RSS Channel

The Coast Guard seized 209 tons of cocaine last year and started this year with another narco sub bust
The amount of cocaine seized by the US Coast Guard declined slightly in 2019 from the previous fiscal year, marking the second straight year of declines. Why your muscles ache when you have the flu
Aidan Jones/flickr Your muscles ache when you have the flu because the virus is wreaking havoc on your body and causing inflammation.  Muscle aches should resolve when the virus clears your body. Some people may recover from the flu in a few days and others within two weeks. While mild aches associated with the flu shouldn't be a cause for concern, there is a small risk it could develop into something more serious called myositis. This article was reviewed by Graham Snyder, MD, MS, who is the medical director for the Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology branch at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. If you have the flu, you're probably spending more time in bed than usual. So then why do your muscles seem to ache all over if you haven't been using them very much? Turns out, those muscle aches aren't that different from the soreness you may feel after an intense workout. That's because the pain in both cases is the result of inflammation. See the rest of the story at Business InsiderNOW WATCH: People are still debating the pink or grey sneaker, 2 years after it went viral. This insulated travel mug is completely leak-proof so your coffee will never spill in your bag — and it's under $20
Amazon Travel mugs are great in theory, but many are prone to spilling, leaking, or not actually keeping things hot, or cold, enough.  The Contigo Autoseal West Loop Travel Mug ($12-$24 at Amazon, price varies by color and size) automatically closes, is spill-proof and leak-proof, and keeps drinks hot for up to five hours, making it an affordable and convenient buy that also provides some peace of mind. It is our top pick for the best travel mug in our buying guide, and after using it myself, I couldn't agree more.  I love a warm beverage in the morning. Whether it's a freshly brewed coffee, steeped tea, or just some hot water with lemon, sitting down and enjoying a warm drink has become somewhat of a morning ritual — even in the heat of summer. The problem is, most mornings I don't have time to actually sit down and sip, so I'm forced to choose — relinquish the ritual or take it on the go.  In the past, I would just pour my drinks into any old travel mug and hope for the best; my wishful thinking was often met with leaks, spills, and hot coffee that went cold too soon.
